We followed the internationally acclaimed chef Marcus Samuelsson to Morocco in search of a new way to fusion the flavors of Africa with familiar every day meals. The result? Four cooking shows introducing the spices Chermoulla, Piri Piri, Durban curry and Green Harissa. It was produced for Scandinavia's largest spice company Santa Maria.

We did this with a tiny, lightweight mobile team consisting of two photographers, one producer/sound guy and a local badass fixer.

Marcus Samuelsson is an award‐winning chef and cookbook author with titles like Africa on my mind, A journey of tastes and Streetfood. His passion and dedication for the African cuisine, manifested through his book, The Soul of a new Cusine has, has inspired millions of food lovers worldwide. Marcus is also a visiting Professor of International Culinary Science at the Umeå University School of Restaurant and Culinary Arts and frequently appears on TV4 in Sweden and on the US cable networks Discovery Home and BET. His cooking combines international influences with traditional cuisines from Sweden, Japan and Africa.

The peeps behind the Grolsch Brand approched us with a task on how to build up a smart and easy way to set up a Bar anyplace anywhere.

The birth of a block bar began using 20 Ice Buckets, 50 GlowSticks, 5 Dip Trays and 3 Stickylamps. With stopmotion technique we created 2 types of environments a sneakershop and an afterparty. Voilá!

Each Grolsch Block Party fills hot clubs and bars, cool stores and galleries with art, music and fashion.It´s a mini urban festival that last one night only, taking the party to the street to get the whole neighbourhood jumping.

Making this film and book a reality was no easy task:it required a dedicated team to go and party in some of Europe´s most vibrant cities- and of course, take the pictures and film you see here! In particular, we´d like to thank our creative crew- Anibal, Ricardo, Teddy,Benjamin, Lucho and Johan- not just for feeling our brand, bout for their boundless energy, professionalism and dedication. The work you see here was only possible because they kept coming up with new ideas and never settled for anything less than the best. We´re proud that they were on our team.

H&M has commissioned Soeasy to produce a promotional film for their Fashion For Your Home campain. The purpose of the film is to draw customers attention to the H&M online shopping experiance.It has successfully screened at H&M stores in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Austria, Holland and Germany.

The purpose of the project is to tell the story behind the castle Carolusborg, which was partially constructed by Scandinavian both Sweden and Danmark , as an example of the history of slavery.

The TV-series is aimed for a children’s audience aged 10 – 13 years and as Educational broadcasters aim to complement the official educational books and literature that are used in schools. To a large extent this part of the European and African history is not discussed and with the tv-series hope to bring this to the fore.

Soeasy produced and directed four commersial films under the theme “World of food” for IKEA-.Under a tight schedule the films were shot in Kuala Lumpur, New York, New Orleans and Oaxen Sweden in a mix of different styles using HD-cams, 16 mm and super8.

MTV Beat ,a unique musicshow hosted by Eye´N I. An 2 hour weekly musicshow exploring all the quality elements of urban music. MTV beat presented both live performaces and interviews with top Swedish and international artists like Buju Banton, Kevin Michael Looptroop, Ken ring, and many more

Soeasy produced a 20 min shortfilm about young creators working in the cultural field .An inspirational documentary with 5 young creators explaining their own story and situation today. The film is used as part of a workshop touring around Sweden targeting highschool students during autumn 2008.

A teaser film was produced for Stocktown Africa using stopmotion technique filmed in HD with the latest Canon EOS 5D Mark II.

Project description:In 2003 the first Stocktown Documentary was produced. A collage of streetculture and urban inventions from Japan, Usa, Australia and Europe.Now we are back in style with a new documentary upcoming Tv series from Africa where we will seek out the same creative forces in Africa´s four point of the compass.
